1. What equipment can the SmartControl Hub™ operate?

SmartControl Hub™ can control a wide range of gymnasium systems including motorized bleachers, retractable stages, divider curtains, basketball backstops, and lighting relays.
Any device that uses a low-voltage (24 V) or standard 120 V control circuit can be safely integrated.

2. Is SmartControl Hub™ compatible with our existing equipment?

Yes. SmartControl Hub™ is designed to integrate seamlessly with most existing gym control boxes.
It connects to the existing control wiring (IN/OUT or UP/DOWN) without modifying the original motor or power circuit.

3. Can multiple SmartControl Hubs be linked together?

Absolutely. Multiple SmartControl Hub panels can be networked over Ethernet, allowing a single touchscreen to coordinate multiple gyms, courts, or large facilities.
Each hub operates independently for reliability but can share data and commands across the network.

4. Does SmartControl Hub™ include manual override controls?

Yes. Each panel includes Hand-Off-Auto (HOA) selectors and local push-buttons for manual control of each device.
A hardwired Emergency Stop loop is built in to cut motion instantly, ensuring safety even if the touchscreen or PLC loses communication.

5. What safety features are built in?

SmartControl Hub™ uses several layers of safety:

  • Hardwired interlocks prevent opposite directions from engaging simultaneously.

  • Timed reverse-blocking allows motors to stop fully before reversing.

  • Emergency Stop circuit removes 24 V coil power from all relays.

  • All components are UL/CSA-recognized industrial parts, designed according to established safety standards.

6. How many devices can one SmartControl Hub™ manage?

A single SmartControl Hub panel can control up to 16 relay outputs, suitable for:

  • 8 directional devices (each requiring two relays) or

  • 16 ON/OFF devices such as lights or winches.
    For larger facilities, multiple panels can be networked together under one touchscreen interface.

Yes. The system is modular and programmable, allowing you to add new devices, rename zones, or create group actions (e.g., “Retract all bleachers”).
