<p class="ds-markdown-paragraph"><span>You can almost always fix this yourself! 99% of the time, it's a lack of lubrication.</span></p>
<ol start="1">
<li>
<p class="ds-markdown-paragraph"><strong><span>Identify the Source:</span></strong><span> Slowly open and close the bleachers and listen for where the noise is loudest. Focus on pivot points, rollers, and guide channels.</span></p>
</li>
<li>
<p class="ds-markdown-paragraph"><strong><span>Clean:</span></strong><span> Use a brush or rag to wipe away old grease, dirt, and dust from these areas.</span></p>
</li>
<li>
<p class="ds-markdown-paragraph"><strong><span>Lubricate:</span></strong><span> Use a </span><strong><span>dry lubricant</span></strong><span> like a silicone spray or graphite powder. </span><strong><span>Avoid WD-40 or grease</span></strong><span> as they attract dirt and gunk everything up worse in the long run.</span></p>
</li>
</ol>
<p class="ds-markdown-paragraph"><span>Spray the lubricant on all the moving parts you identified. Work the bleachers back and forth a few times. The noise should be gone. Do this every 6 months as part of regular maintenance.</span></p>
